•For you, what is interesting/unusual/thought-provoking/aesthetically pleasing/puzzling about this artwork/website/game? [you may choose your own adjectives! These are just some suggestions]. Explain in detail.

I think it is very interesting. Because it is my first time to explore what is H-game that i heard this term for a long time. When I found this game, i think it is very a question that why some people want to play this game . Is it really funny and have any fantasies on the game with the girl falls off the clothes and heal them? I think it is very perverted and i really shocked on the game. However, I think this game has some serious problems as i am a girl.

•What key issue(s) or question(s) does this artwork/website/game raise? Explain these thoroughly, making use of quotations and paraphrases from your readings, and other examples, as appropriate

I think there are some keys issues on this game.

Firstly, I would like to talk about the cultural background in Japan, because this game or most of the H-game was develped by Japanese. For the cultural background of Japan, AV,prostitute are very popular in Japan. According to the media in Japan, there are at least 20% AV DVD/VCD in the rental chain store. Japanese always think that female as a commodity that they can use money to buy for sex. And I think these kinds of culture lead the successe of the H-game in Japan to satisfy the men sexual fantasies but increase many problems.

First, the power between man and women. In this game, when the man hit the girl enough, the girl will fall off her clothes. But if you used the felmale character to hit the male character, the man will not fall off the clothes. However, player can rape the girl when the Extra mode appears and they can heal the girl while she was hurt. I think that the game is not equal for female, thay just lead the girl become a commdity, just think that girl is just for sex and passive. Its really degrading the women status in the real world.

Second, it will lead to encourage player to have sexual violence on felmale in the reality. It is because the game is battle to the women and hit the girl to let them fall off the clothes. Also, the rape on the game that i think if the player really enjoy the game, he will become crazy that follow the game's character behaviour to rape or use violence on female.

I think these kinds of problem are really serious for the society, and we should think about how to adviod these problems happened in the society.

Video Game...

a) How does Adams define art? Do you agree with his definition?

According to Adams, should have the moral values but games can be just an activity. Also, it should contains ideas and meanings.

I agree Adams that art should contains ideas and meanings. I think that art should be provide some messages or feelings to the audience. But how about the moral value that i am really not confirmed. It is because sometimes the artitist just want to express their feeling that it would immoral, but they are not to encourage them to do or follow.

b) According to Adams, what is needed for videogames to be considered as art?

The videogames to be considered as art, it should have some art theories, for examples, perspective, colours, and other visual considerations that artists might consider when making the artwork.

Kazuhiko Hachiya Inter-Discommunication Machine 1993

It is an equipment which exchange views between two persons. You can only see through the other person's eyes when you wear these machines, which forcibly put you in the other's place. These were made to obscure the border between identities of two persons.
And this is the video about the machine:

I think the machine is very interesting that we can use our eyes to see what the others seen.
And i think it is difficult to walk when using this machine. It is because the angles and the things which is in front of you is very different.
However, this machine can provide a new chance for people to communicate with each other that they can feel what the other one feels.
I think it is a funny machine that can entertain us and give us a new feelings from the sight.

Mouchette

http://www.mouchette.org/

I think this website is very annoying. It is because the sounds ,the images and the ants are very disturbing.
When i enter one colum of the website, i feel scare and i don't wanna enter the other colums again. Also, when i enter this website, i don't know what are the meanings of the website.
Sometimes, when the websites shown some sexual aspects, and always want to get our name and e mail, I will think that it is a website for prostitute and they want to get our informations to provide some advertisments for prostitue. For example, feel her tongue and some gif. of sexual.

And i think it is not a websites with the girl who are 13 years-old. I think a 13 years-old girl will not know those things like sexual or about suicide.
In the internet, there are many fake identities that people they would not like others know their real identity, just like me. I owned some fake identities for some Forums accounts, i don't want people knows who i am. Therefore, we should be careful for the informations that come from internet and we should introspection first .

What is Identity?

How many online identities do you have? What are they like?

I have more than 5 online identities. For example, Facebook, Xanga , MSN, Two Bloggers and some Forum accounts.

In my Facebook and Xanga, i will post some daily photos, my feelings or somethings i would like to share to my friends.

For the two Bloggers, they are used for my academic . Just like this blog, sharing some opinions on Visual Culture and Digital Media. Another is show the fashion trend .

For those Forums, I just use the account to watch some interesting things or find some informations i want.

In what way are they different to your "in person" identities?

Some of them are different to my ''in person'' identities , for example, i will use the fake name to enter the forum and leave some comments to get the informations that i want.
And there are ''in person'' identities for my Facebook and Xanga. But i am very carefully that set many privacy on my Facebook and Xanga. I think that Facebook and Xanga are showing my real life and express feelings to my friends. So, in Facebook , i set the privacy for the people that i don;t know, they just see my profile pic. And sometimes i will private the notes and photos for my own use. Also, in Xanga , it must be shown to my friends and i must accept my friends and they can see it .

What are some benefits of expressing one’s identity online?

I think that it is convenient for us to know about what my friends are thinking or their daily life. And we can share some interesting things on the internet.
Also, for some fake name account, i can check some informations and express my feelings to those people i don't know. I just leave messages or opinions and they dont know who i am .

What are some risks?

I think the risks that we need to give some personal informations to the websites. And we don't know that the company will or will not use our informations to other use. Just like the Octopus Company used our informations.
